Athletic Trainer

The Certified Athletic Trainer must have their bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and be certified through the State of Colorado.  The role of the “ATC” can range from more of an “EP” role for new graduates without significant experience with an orthopedic population to a role that more closely resembles a staff Physical Therapist.  This is all based on post graduate certifications, experience, and/or continuing education courses taken since graduation.  Most ATC’s at Peak have their own cases where they assist the PT’s in much the same way as a seasoned PTA might.
